Roger was a long-time columnist at BPTrends and the Business Rules Journal. He has authored or co-authored several books: Practical Process (2013), Establishing the Office of Business Process Management (2011), chapter Business Process Standardization in The International Handbook on BPM (2010, 2015), Questioning BPM? (2016), Reimagining Management (2017), Process Precepts (2017), and Process Provocations (2020). Roger’s latest book, Elements, was published in 2024.

With over 15 years of experience in Operational Excellence and Business Transformation, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a process mining analyst, with a passion for process improvement, automation, and innovation.

My expertise lies in bringing clarity to executives and senior stakeholders, building alignment across multiple business units, and establishing trust while creating a team environment that fosters sharing and creativity. I utilise a data-driven approach to decision-making, employing both performance data and process mining techniques to identify opportunities, design solutions, and measure outcomes.

Dr. Alex Kokkonen is a Distinguished Technologist, consulting partner and senior researcher for DXC Technology, working with customers to solve their most pressing business issues via research-led advisory interventions. With over 30 years of experience, Alex brings extensive international and multi-industry experience from working in a variety of multidisciplinary leadership positions and diverse cultural settings for major blue-chip companies. She has driven IT and business research concepts into business transformations and holds two doctorates, one in IT and one in business. Brent Robinson has over 30 years of experience across the manufacturing, engineering, and construction sectors. His career has spanned diverse industries including automated baggage handling systems, robotics, and sustainable façade systems within the built environment.

Brent has worked across operations, sales, and product development roles in New Zealand, the United States, and Australia, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and improve complex operational systems. He is a strong advocate for learning from the people who do the work, believing that frontline knowledge is essential to improving systems, strengthening safety, and enhancing organisational performance.

Over the past decade, Brent’s focus has centred on the convergence of quality, safety, and operational excellence. He believes that when organisations treat safety and quality as integrated system capabilities rather than compliance activities, they unlock better outcomes for workers, customers, and the business.

Brent is passionate about continuous improvement and the idea that systems are never finished — they can always be improved through curiosity, learning, and collaboration.
